In an intimate fireside chat, Diana and Ingrid—both mixed-Asian creatives—will explore themes from Ingrid’s memoir Sun Shining on Morning Snow, a bold and lyrical story of identity, queerness, grief, and finding your voice. Together, they’ll reflect on sisterhood, cultural hybridity, and what it means to create art at the intersections of race and self-acceptance.

Parixit met Ingrid Dahl at Rutgers University in 2002, and together they formed The 303s—an experimental project born near New Brunswick and raised in Jersey City’s underground. Ingrid Hu Dahl, class of ‘02, returns to campus as an alumni of Douglass and IWL to share themes of Sun Shining on Morning Snow and her journey as a leader to students taking the foundational course, “Knowledge and Power.” Key excerpts from the book provided along with book copies.
Known to many students as a "life-changing" experience, this course sets students up for leadership success throughout college. It is a component of the college's wider mission to empower students through leadership, mentoring, and academic exploration with a feminist lens.
